Abstract: This is a review of neural network based vision modeling techniques. The models discussed are: shunting and distance-dependent networks, boundary grouping and completion models, neon color spreading models, etc. Supporting evidence from psychophysical experiments is cited and discussed. Future research directions are outlined.

Topics: Biological Vision, Image Analysis, Models: Boundary Contour System,
